Grow Garden, Grow


Here's the small start of our summer bounty.
Red, ripening strawberries and thriving squash plants.
We've also got carrots and peas poking up.
Mmmm, I'm already hungry for zucchini bread and steamed yellow squash.

And check out these mayflies.
They plaster themselves to the east side of our house in the shade every evening.


They wouldn't bother me as much if they wouldn't land on me.
But I don't like being inspected by insects.
I was flicking them off right and left just trying to get this picture.

Jen would hate these bugs. We had a box-elder beetle outbreak last yaer and it drove here nuts. I love the plant photos!
